How can I fix or reset a bounced contact so I can send to them again?

Resetting the bounced status will allow you to send to the contact again. You can reset bounced contacts individually, or you can reset all of the bounced contacts in a specific group.

Note that when you update an email address (i.e. fix a typo or enter a completely new address for a contact), if the contact was previously classified as bounce, their status will be automatically reset as a result of the editing.

Warning! Repeatedly resetting and sending to bounced contacts can lead to widespread delivery issues. This is why bounced contacts can only be reset a maximum of 5 times. Be sure to review detailed bounceback messages carefully and take the steps necessary to resolve any issues before resetting bounced contacts or groups.

To reset the bounced status of an individual contact:

  1. Click Contacts in the main navigation menu.
  2. Locate the contact by entering a full or partial name or email address in the Search box.
  3. Click the down arrow icon next to the contact, and select Reset Delivery Status.

To reset the bounced status of a group:

  1. Click Contacts in the main navigation menu, and then click the Groups tab.
  2. Locate the group by entering a full or partial name or email address in the Search box.
  3. Click the down arrow icon next to the group, and select Reset Delivery Status.
