How do I send a campaign to recipients who did not click a poll link?

NOTE: A new feature to support this workflow is currently under development to allow easy setup of groups for follow up campaigns based on survey and poll responses.

In the meantime, you will need to create two new groups (one of the original recipients and one for the recipients who have clicked the poll link) and then remove those who have clicked.

1. Setup a new group containing all recipients for the campaign including the poll links

  • Click Reports in the main navigation menu, and click the name of the campaign
  • Click the Recipients tab, and click Sent
  • In the Perform drop down menu, select Add to Groups
  • Click the Add Group text link, enter a name for the new group such as "Reminder" and click the Add Group button


2. Get the list of all recipients who clicked any link in the original campaign

  • Click Reports in the main navigation menu, and click the name of the campaign
  • Click the Interaction tab, and click Links by Recipient
  • Click an Export button and save the file to your computer


3. Setup a list of recipients who did click the specific links so that they can be excluded from the follow up reminder

  • Open the Links by Recipient report in Excel, and click the Filter icon under the Data tools, which will then display drop down menus at the top of each column
  • For all the column(s) containing a link click that if clicked should be excluded from the follow up reminder campaign, click the drop down arrow, then tick next to Select All to deselect everything, then tick next to zero to have that be the only one selected, and click OK
  • That will leave only the recipients who clicked some other link(s) and should not be a part of the exclude group
  • Select all those rows, right-click and choose Delete Row
  • Click the Filter icon again to turn off filtering 
  • That will display all the remaining recipients, i.e. those who did click the specific links and will form the exclude group


4. Save the list in Excel, and then import as a new group containing all recipients who should be excluded from the follow up reminder campaign

  • In Excel, go to File > Save As and save as an xlsx
  • Delete all the columns after column C for Email (will just make the mapping on import faster)
  • Import the new xlsx file of recipients who clicked and add to a new a group with "exclude" in the name


5. Remove the recipients who should be excluded 

  • Click Contacts in the main navigation menu, and click the Groups tab
  • Tick the box next to the new exclude group you had created in step 4
  • In the Perform drop down menu, select Remove Contacts from Other Groups
  • Tick the box next to the original reminder group you had created in step 1
