Custom Profile Fields

Beyond the default fields available to store profile details, you can create additional custom profile fields to store additional data for sender profiles. Custom profile fields can be useful when personalizing campaigns.

To add a custom profile field:

  1. Locate the Custom Profile Fields setting at the appropriate level (user, client, group or partner) via search or under the Email > Profile section.
  2. Click the Custom Profile Fields setting name.
  3. Click the Add Custom Profile Field button.
  4. Enter a name for the custom profile field. This name will display above the input box when users are adding and editing sender profiles.
  5. Optionally enter a fallback value for the custom profile field. This fallback value will be used in mail merges if no other information is stored for the field by a user.
  6. Select the type of custom profile field: Single Line Text, Multi Line Text, Image, or URL. See below for further information on the Image Custom Field.
  7. Optionally choose to Lock the field to the fallback value. Locking the field will prevent the user from editing the value. The fallback value will always be used.
  8. Optionally choose to make the custom profile field a required field that users must complete before they can save a sender profile. This option is not available if the Lock the field to the fallback value has been selected.
  9. Click the Add Custom Profile Field button.
  10. This field will then appear in the Custom Fields tab for all profiles.

To edit a custom profile field:

  1. Click the drop down arrow next to the custom profile field, and select Edit.
  2. Make any desired changes, and click the Update button.

To delete a custom profile field:

  1. Click the drop down arrow next to the custom profile field, and select Delete.
  2. This will delete both the field from the Custom Fields tab as well as all data for all users associated with the field.
  3. Click the Yes, Delete button to proceed.

Image Custom Fields:

If you want to set the dimensions for the image, we recommend that you only set the value for
Resize Width or Resize Height. This will ensure the image is kept in proportion when the system resizes the image for the custom field. If you do not want the image to be resized, do not set any value for the Resize Width or Resize Height.
