Create Survey

To create a survey:

  1. Click Surveys in the main navigation menu.
  2. Click the Create a Survey button.
  3. Select a template, and click on the Use text link.
Your account includes several pre-built survey templates available for you to start from. These templates use one of the available themes and represent many of the most common uses for surveys. They function similar to email campaign templates and are designed to be a starting point for your own surveys.
  4. Enter a title for the survey and click the Create button.
The title will be used for your record-keeping purposes only inside your account and will not be seen by responders. You can change the title at any time by clicking the down arrow icon for the survey and selecting Rename.
  5. You will see the 3 steps in the survey creation process: Content, Theme and Preview and Deploy.
  6. Customize the survey content by editing and adding questions. If desired, you can also add pages and actions, modify page buttons, and add a header and footer to appear on every page.
  7. After editing all of your questions, click the Save and Continue to Theme button or the Theme step in the survey creation process navigation menu.
  8. Click on a theme name to preview it in the lower half of the screen.
Your account includes several pre-built themes. You may also have access to modify the CSS and build your own theme.
  9. Once you are happy with the theme, click the Save and Continue to Deploy button, or the Preview and Deploy step in the survey creation navigation menu.
  10. Take a final look at the survey, and click the View Survey button to preview. Click a page title in the tabs near the top of the preview to view content on other pages.

After the survey has been created, there are multiple options available to deploy your survey.

NOTE: When working in surveys, you must click the Save button or click another step in the creation process to have your changes reflected in the live survey. The survey itself is NOT automatically changed when you click Update on a question.
