External Content
The external content feature allows you to retrieve content from an external source such as a web site or database and automatically insert it into your campaign content.
For example, it can be used to retrieve property listings from a real estate web site and add that information to a formatted email campaign. This feature offers you the ability to skip the step of re-keying, reformatting and copying/pasting your data in - all you need to do is select and insert, and the content is automatically placed and formatted in your campaign.
To insert external content:
- Go to the Content step of an in progress campaign, and place the cursor in the editable area where you wish to insert content.
- Click the Insert drop down menu, and select External Content.
- If prompted, click on one of the available sources in your account to select it.
- Enter the settings for your external content source. Settings may include:
- loopnet.com -- enter broker email address(es), select a Type (For Sale or For Lease), and optionally enter additional search criteria
- raywhite.com.au -- select a criteria to search by: Lising ID(s); Email (Broker Email Address or Office Email Address); or Area (Suburb)
- realcommercial.com.au -- select a regionn, and optionally enter Suburb(s) and select Property Type(s)
- realestate.com.au -- enter an Office ID and select a Type (Buy, Sold, Rental)
- Click the Continue to Content button. Wait a moment for the content to load, and then select the items you wish to insert.
- Click the Continue to Order button. If desired, reorder the items into your desired arrangement by clicking and dragging the :: icon next to each item.
- If prompted, click the Continue to Layout button. From the drop down menu, select a layout or color for how your content will be displayed.
- Click the Insert Content button.
- If a specific listing or detail is missing from your External content feed, please ensure that the information is searchable and appearing correctly on the source website. If you can locate the source listing, check for any invalid characters (they will not be able to be imported).
