What are the columns in an exported list of campaigns?

Please note the below information is subject to change, as all exported reports are currently under review and will be updated as a part of an upcoming release.


The fields included in an export of sent campaigns are:

Campaign Details

  • Title - title of the campaign as stored in your account
  • View - the generic URL for the campaign, meaning it is not tied to any specific recipient 
  • Type (this field has been deprecated and will be removed from the export as it is no longer valid; Email is the only type of campaign)
  • Email Subject - subject line of the campaign 
  • Email Domain - domain used to send the campaign
  • Archived (this field has been deprecated and will be removed from the export as it is no longer valid)
  • Source - where the campaign was created (e.g. via the site itself, via the API, via a publication)
  • Status - status of the campaign (e.g. sent, in progress)
  • Scheduled - date the campaign was scheduled
  • Sent - date and time the campaign was sent
  • Created - date and time the campaign was created
  • Last Action - date the last action (view, click, opt out, reply) was taken by a recipient on the campaign

Basic Statistics

  • Recipients - total number of recipients
  • Renders By Unique Recipient - total number of unique recipients who viewed the campaign at least once
  • Renders Total - total number of views including any additional views by the recipient or anyone else they may have forwarded the campaign to
  • Renders Total From Referrers - total number of views from the generic URL for the campaign (indicated by /cv/ near the start of the URL for campaign view), which is used for sharing on social sites
  • Views Inferred By Unique Recipients - total number of unique views that were inferred
  • Actions By Unique Recipient - total number of unique recipients who took at least one action (view, click, opt out, reply) with the campaign
  • Actions Total - total number of actions taken with the campaign (calculated by taking the total views less inferred views, and then adding total clicks, total replies, total opt outs, and total forwards)
  • Clicks By Unique Recipient - total number of unique recipients who clicked at least one trackable link in the campaign (e.g. email address mailto: links are not trackable)
  • Clicks Total - total number of clicks including any additional clicks by the recipient or anyone else they may have forwarded the campaign to
  • Clicks Total From Referrers - total number of clicks from the generic URL for the campaign (indicated by /cv/ near the start of the URL for campaign view), which is used for sharing on social sites
  • Clicks Plain Text - total number of clicks from the plain text version of the campaign
  • Page Views - total number of views for additional pages within the campaign
  • Page Views From Referrers - total number of views for additional pages from the generic URL for the campaign (indicated by /cv/ near the start of the URL for campaign view), which is used for sharing on social sites
  • Page Views External - total number of visits to any page with web tracking enabled
  • Goals External By Unique Recipient (this field is provisional for possible future development and will be removed from the export until it is available within the site)
  • Goals External Total (this field is provisional for possible future development and will be removed from the export until it is available within the site)
  • Responses By Unique Recipients - total number of unique recipients who replied to the campaign
  • Responses Total - total number of replies to the campaign
  • Undeliverables - total number of unique hard bounces where the campaign could not be delivered
  • Opt Outs - total number of recipients who opted out from the campaign
  • Abuse Reports - total number of spam reports received for the campaign either by recipients clicking Spam or Junk buttons in their email applications or via the Report Spam button when opting out
  • Forwards By Unique Recipients - total number of unique recipients who forwarded the campaign (via the system forward to a friend link)
  • Forwards Total - total number of forwards (via the system forward to a friend link)
  • Forwards From Referrers - total number of forwards (via the system forward to a friend link) from the generic URL for the campaign (indicated by /cv/ near the start of the URL for campaign view), which is used for sharing on social sites

Percentage Statistics

  • Recipients Actual Rate - total number of actual recipients (recipients less bounced)
  • View Rate To Recipient Rate - unique view rate, calculated as total number of unique views divided by total number of actual recipients
  • Action Rate To Recipient Rate - unique action rate, calculated as total number of unique actions divided by total number of actual recipients
  • Click To Open Rate - (CTOR) calculated as total number of unique clicks divided by total number of unique views
  • Click To Recipient Rate - click through rate (CTR) calculated as total number of unique clicks divided by total number of actual recipients
  • Responses To Open Rate - calculated as total number of unique replies divided by total number of unique views
  • Responses To Recipients Rate - calculated as total number of unique replies divided by total number of actual recipients
  • Forwards To Open Rate - calculated as total number of unique forwards divided by total number of unique views
  • Forwards To Recipient Rate - calculated as total number of unique forwards divided by total number of actual recipients
  • Undeliverables Rate - total number of unique hard bounces divided by total number of recipients
  • Opt Out To Open Rate - calculated as total number of opt outs divided by total number of unique views
  • Opt Out To Recipient Rate - calculated as total number of opt outs divided by total number of actual recipients
  • Abuse To Open Rate - calculated as total number of unique spam reports divided by total number of unique views
  • Abuse To Recipient Rate - calculated as total number of unique spam reports divided by total number of actual recipients
  • Delivery Rate - calculated as total number of actual recipients divided by total number of recipients
  • Rendered - total number of recipients who viewed the campaign (same as "Renders By Unique Recipient" above)
  • Not Rendered - total number of recipients who did not bounce and did not view the campaign
  • Not Rendered Rate To Recipient Rate - calculated as total number of recipients who did not bounce and did not view the campaign divided by the total number of actual recipients

Other Details

  • Email Sent - total number of recipients for all sends of the campaign, including any resends
  • Template Name - title of the template used for the campaign
  • User - username of the account used to send the campaign
  • User Firstname - first name of the account used to send the campaign
  • User Lastname - last name of the account used to send the campaign
  • Client - name of the client where the user is stored within the system
  • External ID - external ID applied to the campaign (most often used by third party applications for integration purposes; in some cases tracking and billing details are also recorded in this field for users' internal purposes)
