Do I need to delete a contact that has opted out?

No, if a contact is already classified as opted out within the system, you do not need to delete them from your account.  Even if you import their email address again, they will remain classifed as opted out. And if they are included in a campaign, the system will not send to them.

If you need to manually opt a contact out:

  1. Click Contacts in the main navigation menu.
  2. Locate the contact by entering a full or partial name or email address in the Search box.
  3. Click the down arrow next to their name, and select Opt Out.
