Why does my report show some recipients with an extremely large number of views?

A very large number of views by a single recipient often indicates the recipient has forwarded the campaign to additional people from their own email program. Because the tracking code in the original campaign is uniquely tied to the recipient, any subsequent views of the campaign by others will register as additional views for that original recipient.

It is also possible that a larger than normal number views are recorded for a single recipient who is using a preview pane to manage their emails. This is because it is not possible to determine between a single click vs. a full "double click" from within any email application - both actions are counted as a view. This means that if recipients are scrolling through emails or deleting emails using a preview pane, views will be recorded every time they click or cursor through or over the campaign. Each time the campaign's images are shown in their preview pane (even if they aren't actually double clicking to open the email in its own window), an additional view is recorded.
