Safe sender list instructions

Below are details for email administrators/corporate IT departments as well as individual recipients.

For individual recipients, please refer to detailed instructions for the email client you are using: Outlook 2010 (and newer), Outlook 2007/2003, Outlook Express, AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, Entourage, MacMail, and other web mail providers.


Email Administrators and Corporate IT Departments

Add the following details to the safe sender and/or white list of your company's spam or email filter:

IP Addresses:
199.188.156.0/24 
(199.188.156.1 through 199.188.156.254)


Individual Users and Recipients (safe sender list instructions)

Microsoft Outlook (2010 and newer)

  1. Under the Home tab, click the Junk drop down arrow
  2. Select Junk Email Options
  3. Click the Safe Senders tab
  4. Enter the from email address (e.g. john@abc.com) or the domain (e.g. @emailcb.com) in the input box, and click Add
  5. Optionally check the boxes to also trust emails from your contacts and those people that you email
  6. Click OK

Microsoft Outlook (2000, 2003, 2007)

  1. From the Inbox, go to Tools > Options
  2. From the Preferences tab, under the Email heading, click the Junk E-mail button
  3. Click the Safe Senders tab
  4. Click the Add button
  5. Enter the email address (e.g. john@abc.com) or domain (e.g. @emailcb.com)
  6. Click OK

Microsoft Outlook Express (6.0 and later)

  1. Go to Tools > Address Book
  2. Go to File > New Contact
  3. Enter the from email address (e.g. john@abc.com) in the Email Addresses field and click Add
  4. Click OK

AOL (8.0 and later)

  1. Click Contacts from the left hand side of the page
  2. Click New and select New Contact
  3. Enter the from email address (e.g. john@abc.com) into the Email 1 field
  4. Click Create

Gmail

If an email is mistakenly routed to your Spam folder, you can click the Not Spam button to add the sender as a safe sender. Otherwise follow the steps below.

  1. Click Contacts in the bar at the top of the page
  2. Click the New Contact icon in the upper left
  3. Enter the from email address (e.g. john@abc.com) into the Email field
  4. Click Save

Windows Live Hotmail

  1. Click the Options drop down menu in the upper right 
  2. Select More Options 
  3. Under "Preventing junk mail," click Safe and blocked senders
  4. Click Safe Senders
  5. Enter the from email address (e.g. john@abc.com) and click Add to List

Yahoo! Mail

  1. Click Options in the upper left, and select Mail Options
  2. Select Filters from the list, and click Add 
  3. Optionally enter a name (e.g. email marketing) in the Filter Name field
  4. In the "Sender" row, select ends with from the drop down menu
  5. Enter the sending domain (e.g. emailcb.com) in the field
  6. Click Add again to save changes 

Entourage

  1. Go to File > New > Contact
  2. Enter the from email address (e.g. john@abc.com) in the Work E-mail field
  3. Close the dialog box, and save if prompted

MacMail

  1. Open the Address Book
  2. Go to File > New Card
  3. Enter the from email address (e.g. john@abc.com) in the Work E-mail field
  4. Close the dialog box

AT&T / BellSouth / SBC Global

  1. Click the Options link
  2. Under Management, click Filters
  3. Click Add
  4. In the "From header" rule, in the field to the right of contains, enter the from email address (e.g. john@abc.com)
  5. In the "Move the message to" drop down menu, choose Inbox
  6. Click the Add Filter button to save

Comcast

  1. Click Address Book
  2. Click Add Contact
  3. Under the General tab, in the box under the Email Address, enter the from email address (e.g. john@abc.com)
  4. Click the Add button

NOTE: If you have enabled "Restrict Incoming Email" also do the following:

  1. Go to Preferences
  2. Select Restrict Incoming Email
  3. Select Allow email from addresses listed below
  4. Enter the from email address (e.g. john@abc.com)
  5. Click the Add button

Cox

  1. Click Addresses
  2. Click Create Address at the top
  3. Enter the from email address (e.g. john@abc.com) in the address area
  4. Click the Save button

Earthlink

  1. Click Address Book
  2. Click Add Contact or Add button
  3. Enter the from email address (e.g. john@abc.com) into the Email Address field and click OK

RoadRunner

  1. Click the Settings button
  2. Under Customize mailbox options, click the Allow and Block Messages options selection
  3. In the Allowed Senders and Domains box, enter the from email address (e.g. john@abc.com) or domain (e.g. emailcb.com)
  4. Click the OK button

Verizon

  1. Click Address Book
  2. Click Create Contact
  3. Enter the from email address (e.g. john@abc.com) in the Email field
  4. Click Save
