How is deliveraiblity managed?
We actively monitor our sender score, as well as more than 125 blacklists (which are checked every 4 hours). Our deliverability team also monitors our mail flow to identify any delays or build up in traffic to major domains and ISPs to help ensure the best deliverability possible for our senders.
Our sender scores are generally 97 and above out of a possible 100. Reputable email marketers should have scores above 90 to avoid negative impacts on deliverability. Scores below 70 typically result in aggressive email filtering.
The best way to maintain a high sender score is to send to good/strong distribution lists (meaning comprised only of opted in contacts) and also to ensure contacts are engaged, meaning that they are viewing and clicking in your emails, which will be driven largely by making sure the content being sent to those opted in contacts is the content they want to be receiving, etc.
However each of the major domains and ISPs as well as individual companies will manage their incoming mail in different ways. So this means additional filtering criteria may be in place based on the specific individual sender and email campaign.
Managing deliverability beyond the major domains and ISPs that we monitor often involves taking proactive steps with your recipients to request them to whitelist especially in cases of reports of recipients not receiving campaigns.
